Why become a member of the Calera Chamber of Commerce?

The Calera Chamber of Commerce proudly serves as a front door to our community. Many requests are made each year for referrals to businesses and other community information. Only our Chamber members are referred unless there are no Chamber members in the category being requested. Membership with us also secures active representation of your business. The many contacts made through us will build your business success and offer many other opportunities. By joining with the many other businesses that are members, Chamber membership can work for you by:

• RELOCATION INQUIRIES LIST: An excellent way to target new arrivals in our community is by mailing information before they actually arrive in town. Your business can be included in this information sent to new arrivals in our community. All Chamber members are eligible to offer a discount coupon designed for visitors, new residents and new businesses in our area. There is no fee for this participation. Members need to initially provide approximately 100 coupons to begin and supply more upon request. The size of the coupon should be no larger than "4 x 9".

• ADVOCACY: The Calera Chamber of Commerce concerns itself with many issues that impact the livability and well being of the community at large; both in the political and nonpolitical scene. Your interests are being represented when you join the Chamber.

• ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITIES:
  1. Promote your business with an ad on our web site as a "Web Site Sponsor."
  2. Our Membership Directory gives you classified and alphabetical listings as a member of the Chamber.
  3. Insert your discount coupons or business insert in our kit provided to new and potential residents.
  4. Display your brochure, pamphlet or business card in our Chamber office.
  5. Participate in our many community activities such as the Christmas Parade

• GRAND OPENINGS AND RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONIES: Provided mainly for new members as a welcome to the community, but also available for existing business members who may be expanding or dedicating new facilities.

• NETWORKING: One of the most valuable benefits of Chamber Membership is the forum we provide for making valuable contacts in the business community. Our business events give members access to the key people needed to for selling their products and services, as well as sharing experience, knowledge and insight on business issues. All Chamber events give members a venue to promote their businesses through participation and sponsorship. One of our best networking avenues is available by attending our General Membership luncheons. Our luncheons are sponsored by a different member each month and guest speakers are present to address issues and provide important information and advise that has proven very beneficial to our members.

• BULK MAIL STAMP: The United States Postal Service has reduced prices on presorted bulk mail if certain requirements are met. The Chamber's bulk mail permit number is available for members to use. You can literally save thousands of dollars per year if you send out advertisements via mail.
